Karen Wolchuck Sher

As an independent management consultant for senior executive leaders in academic medical centers, health systems and post-acute settings, Karen Wolchuck Sher leads business development, creates consensus, develops communication content. Her accomplishments include: service line and program growth in every major pediatric and adult clinical area; primary care, ambulatory surgery and multi-use health centers; partnerships between health care providers; and physician-hospital enterprises built for sustainability. Previously, Karen was a senior member of Ernst & Young where she led strategy, operational and regulatory engagements.

Karen received her Masters Degree in Hospital Administration from Yale School of Public Health and received a Bachelor’s Degree from City University of New York Brooklyn College. Karen’s immersion in academic medical centers began during her graduate studies when she was selected to be the student representative on an internal Yale School of Medicine Task Force. Following graduation from Yale, Karen was an Administrative Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Karen and her husband, Mandel, chose to join their family and make beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida home. Karen particularly enjoys mentoring students and young professionals and has been a Tampa Bay representative of the Yale University Alumni Schools Committee. Karen grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Today, Karen and Mandel’s three children live and work in the New York City area.
