Speakers Who Inspire: Khalil Gibran Muhammad

Feb 1, 2024 @ 5:00 PM
Join us for a special evening with Khalil Gibran Muhammad, widely known as one of the most influential authorities on racial justice in America. Dr. Muhammad is the award-winning author of The Condemnation of Blackness, a “brilliant work that tells us how directly the past has formed us” (The New York Review of Books); his work has been featured in the landmark New York Times “1619 Project” as well as Ava DuVernay’s Oscar-nominated Netflix documentary 13th.
An incredibly dynamic, humorous, and grounding speaker, this Harvard Kennedy School Professor will offer a brief history of the racial economic inequity we see in our country today. He’ll talk about how we got here and where we go next, making the case for why racial equity is non-negotiable for health and justice.
