Center for Health Equity
The Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg launched the Center for Health Equity in 2019. It a place where people come together to find the resources and partners to solve some of our community’s toughest challenges, as well as the headquarters for the Foundation office.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center has shifted operations to a virtual environment.
Convenings
The Center serves as a hub for Convenings, a meeting between cross-sector groups who will partner to advance health equity. Partners share research, learn together, and build systems level solutions for systemic problems.
Equity Education
The Foundation hosts opportunities to learn about race equity and grow as a community. Examples include Speakers Who Inspire, which brings national thinkers and authors to St. Petersburg to advance our understanding and discourse about equity. During the COVID-19 pandemic event series are hosted virtually.
