Race Equity and Covid-19: Strengthening Community at a Time of Crisis – A Virtual Town Hall

Apr 21, 2020 @ 12:00 PM

The Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg is postponing and repurposing the previously scheduled Speakers Who Inspire lecture and luncheon featuring Dr. Jonathan Metzl to host a virtual town hall to address Racial Equity in the face of the COVID-19 crisis.

During public emergencies like this one, Black and brown residents of Pinellas County face additional risks and challenge that put them at a disadvantage for safeguarding themselves, their families and their livelihoods. The Foundation’s COVID-19 response prioritizes race equity in all interventions. This panel of experts and advisors will share insight to help avoid unnecessary disease and death in the Black community, offer resources to help soften the economic hit to businesses and nonprofits and offer strategies to spur recovery and resilience.
