Jack Day

Jack Day is a St. Petersburg native and fifth generation Floridian. He was educated in local public schools, the University of Florida, and Emory University. He practiced law in the Tampa Bay area for 29 years, was a board-certified civil trial lawyer, a certified mediator and arbitrator, and was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

As a lawyer, he was a founding board member and officer of Gulf Coast Legal Services and his firm was honored for its pro bono work.  He has served on the boards of many community organizations and various positions of lay leadership in the Episcopal Church.

Elected a circuit court judge in 2006, he served for 12 years and was honored with the Judicial Appreciation Award of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Excellence in Child Welfare Services Award of the Florida Department of Children and Family.

Since retiring from the bench in 2018 he has maintained an active practice as a mediator and arbitrator. He enjoys reading, listening to blues and jazz, and working out in the pool. He lives in St. Petersburg with his wife Nancy, a retired teacher.  They have four adult children and seven grandchildren.
