Evidence Informing Action: Health Equity Through Data And Policy

On July 11, 2018, nearly 200 people attended the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg and the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County’s joint event to launch Health in All Policies in Pinellas County, a new, multi-sector initiative to ensure policy leaders consider health consequences when creating policies and plans that affect the community. DOH-Pinellas also released the county’s Community Health Assessment (CHA), the latest data and findings on the state of health in our community and the Foundation presented, An Initial Health Equity Brief for Pinellas County, highlighting the disparate health outcomes experienced by different groups in the county.
