Dr. Rachel Dawkins

Dr. Rachel Dawkins specializes in general pediatrics and is owner of Zest Pediatrics of St Pete. She previously served as medical director of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Care Network and was an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Dawkins is active nationally with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatrics. Her professional interests include physician leadership, advocacy, childhood resilience, sleep, and helping families thrive through relationship-based pediatric care.

Dr. Dawkins grew up in Largo and graduated from St. Petersburg High School before attending the University of Miami for both undergraduate and medical school. She completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, where she remained on faculty before returning home to St. Petersburg in 2014. A proud eighth-generation Floridian, she is passionate about caring for the community that raised her. Outside of medicine, she is an enthusiastic traveler, a devoted dog mom to Tuck, and a proud aunt to two nephews.
